Drupal ships in ZIP!

From today, you can download Drupal core, Drupal modules, themes and translations in zip forrmat too!

Over the 9 years of Drupal history, many users required zip formatted files in addition to tar.gz format. cPanel, DirectAdmin and some other leading hosting control panels support compressing and extracting archives in a number of formats, including tar.gz and zip; But there are some control panels (in old school) that only support zip format.

Joomla! 1.6 RC released!

Joomla -- the most popular Conent Management System to the date -- is going to be 1.6 !

After 15 beta-releases of Joomla 1.6, Joomla foundation has released the Release Candidate of Joomla 1.6. According to Joomla foundation, they have fixed nearly 121 bugs and have closed another 46 issues from Beta 15. They are still testing the Release Candidate for its bugs. However, they wish to release the first stable version of Joomla 1.6 on 10. January 2011.

You can download Joomla 1.6 RC1 and give it a try. But remember that it's no yet stable.

Drupal 7: RC2 arrived

The second release candidate of Drupal 7 -- world's most powerful content management system software-- saw the daylight a few hours ago. Drupal 7 release candidate 2 (D7 RC2) is the latest version of Drupal. The first RC version release released two weeks ago, and now, the second one.

The stable version of Drupal 7 is coming soon! There are many bug fixes and tweaks in the second release, from the first one.

You can check Drupal's entire changelog to see the entire path of development.

Here are some changes from RC1.

Release Candidate of Drupal 7 is now available to download!

Drupal is the most powerful Content Management System which deliver the maximum flexibility and maximum customizing options. Drupal has a proud history of 10 years, and now, 7th stable version is going to be released.
