Facebook founder - Mark Zuckerberg Yahoo Ceo Jerry Lang

Steve Ballmer revealed that Microsoft tried to buy Facebook offering fifteen billion dollars in 2007!

It's true that this is a 3 years old news, but it was a secret untill Steve Ballmer reveal and Fritz Lanman confirm it. Some people said that Mark Zuckerberg -- founder of Facebook -- will get crazy on one billion dollars offer by Yahoo! But Mark Zuckerberg rejected both these two offers. However, Facebook growed greatly in last 3 years. So Mark Zuckerberg has chosen the right decision.

Microsoft didn't stop these offers. Later, Microsoft became the web search partner of Facebook offering $240m to Facebook. Now you can see that Bing powers Facebook web search.

Microsoft believes that Microsoft and Facebook are similar. They haven't stated why the felt it, but Microsoft still believe it.

Mark Zuckerberg rejected both two offers. Facebook is far great than in 2007, and Facebook own almost social-networking market. MySpace, Hi5 and other social networks are small giants. Facebook is the king! Both Yahoo and Microsoft has no such large community. It's true that Microsoft and Yahoo offer 'community features' such as e-mail accounts, messenger, and discussion boards. But percentages of each social-feature usage is too low when comparing to Facebook. Facebook has more sensitive information and personal information of its users. When looking at Microsoft and Yahoo, they have no such information. For an example, Facebook has information of each person's friends, place of living, school, etc. People like to fill their profile and stay connected with others. But Microsoft's and Yahoo's features are not enough to do such thing. So facebook is a great way to put better targeted advertisements.

We can't predict what Facebook is going to do. They are planning to win the e-mail accounts marketing field. No doubt that Facebook is going to become a headache to Yahoo mail, Gmail, AOL mail and hotmail.

Let's see what will happen to Facebook, or what it will do... We are still seeking their news...You can see latest news on Facebook Channel
