Extract registry keys
Extracting Registry keys, even the entire registry is easy and more accurate than creating registry keys manually.
To extract registry data,
- Click Start Menu
- Run
- Type "regedit" (without quotes.)
- OK
Make sure that you are an administrator of the computer.
Windows Registry editor will now appear.
Then, go to the path of Registry Key that you need to export.
Select it and go to,
File >> Export
Then choose selectedpath and save it as a Registry key (.reg)
Completed...!
Now you can edit and save (or just keep) the Registry file and modify the registry to the data in the file, by double clicking it.
To edit the .reg file, open it in Notepad (or such word processing application).
