Verify with Yahoo SiteExplorer

Verifing your web site with Yahoo SiteExplore will enable managing search results appearance in Yahoo Search.

Go to http://siteexplorer.search.yahoo.com and sign in to Yahoo SiteExplore.
Then, you can add your site.

TIP: enter your prefered domain name here. If you like www.example.com, enter it. If you like just example.com, enter it. This prefered domain will be shown in search results untill you change settings.
Then, Yahoo SiteExplore will ask you to verify your ownership.

When I write this,there are only 2 ways to verify your site.

1. Uploading a html file.
2. Adding a metatag to home page.

1. Uploading html file.

Most builders don't offer direct access to the document root, so please skip to next method if you are unlucky to upload.
If you have the direct access, just upload the file using a FTP client or browser uploading.
Do not change the file, or rename it. If you are having Mime Type errors while uploading, you need to create a duplicate of html file.
To duplicate, open the original file with a raw text editor, like Notepad and copy the entire text.
Create a new document and paste the copied text.
Then, save the document WITH the extension.

Finished!
Go to Yahoo SiteExplore and hit Verify!
Unfortunately, Yola.com, weebly.Com, wix.Com and such sites don't support this method.

2. Adding a meta tag.

This is the widely-used method to verify most sites.
Copy the meta tag which Yahoo SiteExplore ask you to put, and paste it in between < head > and < body > tags in your HTML homepage.(the page specified in .htaccess file. Eg. "documentroot index.html")

If your site is a php one,(For Weebly, Yola, Wix, etc) you need to add the metatg to a place offered by builder-site.

For Weebly, put the entire metatag to the meta area in your site's settings page.
Don't forget to save and update your site to the web.
Then, go to Yahoo SiteExplore and verify!

Most Yola users haven't verified their site with Yahoo SiteExplore.
To verify, copy the meta tag, and put it in a html widget, on VERY TOP of your HOME PAGE.
